This exceptional iron tsuba features an irregular, naturalistic form
with a lively surface and dramatic dragon (ryuzu) motifs accented by
scattered gold details — a bold and expressive composition highly
prized among tosogu collectors worldwide.
Known as "Ryuzu Tsuba," this piece is mumei (unsigned), consistent
with many authenticated works of the Mito school tradition.
